Type Rating - King Air (EN)

Aim of the Course

The aim of the course is to train the student pilot , applying for type rating on multiengine, single pilot  BE90/99/100/200 King Air aircraft, that allow, according to the EASA part FCL  requirements and relevant EASA OSD (if applicable), to act as pilot in command ( PIC ) on BE 90/99/100/200 aeroplanes.


Pre-Entry Requirements

Applicant for the first type rating on BE 90/99/100/200 King Air shall have at least 500 hours total flying experience and at least 300 hours as PIC of airplanes.
Applicant shall hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of a course for additional theoretical knowledge undertaken at the ATO [HPA course (see AMC1 FCL.720.A(b)(2)(i))] or have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examination, or hold a valid ICAO ATPL(A) or CPL/IR with  theoretical knowledge credit for ATPL(A), hold a valid multi-engine IR (A).

Training Syllabi

The course comprises:

  • Theoretical knowledge instruction to the BE 90/99/100/200 King Air type rating knowledge of 30 classroom hours;
  • Practical knowledge instruction that can be performed fully on the FSS (zero Flying hours) or on combined FSTD and aeroplane;
  • Final examinations
